Cosmo

Cosmo, a one year old blue merle Sheltie, came to Helping Hands in the spring of 2009 as a victim of the economic downturn.  His owner was losing his home and could no longer afford to keep Cosmo.

The next morning I featured him on one of our WIBW segments.  It was obvious when I took him for a walk before his television debut that he was housebroken.  We had some calls about him, but no one adopted him, so I started getting him out for walks and letting him spend his days in the office.  He was so well behaved and much happier not being in the kennels that I fostered him over the week-end.

We soon discovered that he loved playing with toys and delighted in retrieving balls.  He immediately adjusted to home life and enjoyed our other four dogs.  He has such a happy disposition and enjoys meeting new people and other animals.  He was such a good fit for our family that we adopted him.  He still enjoys coming to the shelter with me and everyone who meets him comments on what a good boy he is.  He will be perfect to represent Helping Hands at speaking engagements.
