I adopted an orange and white cat from HHHS in December 2005 as a Christmas present for myself (as well as for the cat). I brought him home and rechristened him "Morris." When I read his paperwork I saw that he was seized from his prior home for abuse. I brought him into my home, fed him good food and gave him a warm place to sleep and lots of love. He has turned out to be an all-in-one cat. He lies with my newborn and "guards" her. He plays with my kids when they have strings or toys and he lies beside me and snuggles when I need that extra love only a cat can give. I thank you all so much for having a shelter where people can make the best friends of their lives.
