FT and PT ANIMAL ADOPTION COUNSELOR

Non-profit, animal welfare organization seeks organized, responsible animal lover to assist in the adoption of homeless pets. Responsibilities include evaluating and approving applications for adoption, counseling on pet issues, matching adopters with animals, and communicating with the public in-person, via phone and email. Full-time and PT positions available. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or GED required. Must have tolerance to loud noises, be able to lift 25 lbs or more and able to work in a team-oriented environment. Experience working in a customer service environment preferred. Apply in person at Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 SW 21st St., Topeka, KS 66604. EOE.

 

 

PT MOBILE ANIMAL ADOPTION COUNSELOR

Non-profit, animal welfare organization seeks organized, responsible animal lover to assist in the adoption of homeless pets through the HHHS mobile adoption unit. The position recruits off-site locations, coordinates schedule with drivers, works with the Director of Adoption Services to determine animals to take off-site, and works with customers on the mobile unit to adopt animals. Position will also work at the shelter to support on-site adoptions. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or GED required. Must have tolerance to loud noises, be able to lift 25 lbs or more and able to work in a team-oriented environment. Experience working in a customer service environment preferred. Apply in person at Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 SW 21st St., Topeka, KS 66604. EOE.
